The WeDoCRM crew packed their bags and headed to London Town for the WeDoCRM 2024 Summer Social. We had teammates coming in from Scotland, Wales, and even as far as Barbados! The weather kept us on our toes with half of us dressing for summer, only to be surprised by some rain, but that didn’t dampen the fun.
Happy hour and partner meetings
We kicked off our first evening with happy hour cocktails at Simmons – because who can resist two for one drinks? It was the perfect way to unwind after a day of travelling. Vanessa, our Head of Growth, joined us fresh from a meeting with Chris from Customer.io, and let’s just say, there are some incredible opportunities on the horizon. We can’t spill the details just yet, but trust us, you’ll want to stay tuned for what’s coming in the next few months. So, keep your eyes peeled.
After drinks, we made our way to Gloria, and let me tell you, everything was incredible—from the staff and the ambiance to the food. The dishes were absolutely delicious, and the venue itself was stunning.
Business strategy, workshops and delicious food
The next day, we gathered at our favorite spot, Brewdog Waterloo, for a team workshop fueled by caffeine and a delicious lunch. We absolutely love it there – the office spaces, the food, and yes, even the slide – it definitely made remote work a lot more fun! It was fantastic to come together, a chance to reflect on the year so far, and map out our business strategy for the rest of 2024 and beyond. We also locked in our plans for the future, including our upcoming appearance at the Technology for Marketing and eCommerce Expo in September. That’s right – we’ll be back in London next month, ready to dive into all things CRM and MarTech, come and meet us in person!
Solving a murder
As with any of our gatherings, we always find a way to bond as a team, and what better way than an escape room. We took on the challenge of solving the Murder of the West End Starlet. Set in 1938, right in the heart of London’s West End, we were tasked with uncovering the truth behind the murder of actress Rose Rogers. The big question was: did we have what it takes to track down her killer? The answer is YES, we did with only 6 minutes left to spare. It really was a close one.
Cosy pods with views of the Tower of London
We couldn’t have ended the day on a better note than with a fantastic meal at Coppa Club Tower Bridge. Those cosy little pods are the absolute cutest, and the views of the Tower of London made it all the more magical, reminding us we were right in the heart of London.
As a remote-first business, events like this are such an important part of building the strong relationships we have with our team and our partners. The team does an incredible job through Slack and Zoom, but there’s really nothing better than being able to chat to the people we work with every day in person. We cannot wait to be reunited at Christmas.
