Attending Iterable Events and Unveiling New Platform Features for 2024
What a week! I attended no less than three influential Iterable events in London last week and my feet didn’t touch the ground once – but I regret nothing.
The jam-packed itinerary included an exclusive partners event, a scrumptious dinner at Hakkasan (world-class Chinese that hits all the right taste buds), and of course the highly anticipated Activate London tour. These events provided an invaluable opportunity for our mighty agency to bump shoulders and network with other marketers, as well as deep dive into the latest features and updates on the Iterable platform.
There was a lot of information to digest (I still am I think), but as a certified partner of Iterable, we were genuinely humbled to be part of these events and witness firsthand the power of AI and other innovations driving marketing insights.
Here’s a closer look at the new standout features and updates that were showcased:
1. AI Journey Assist
One of the key features announced is the AI Journey Assist, which leverages natural language prompts to build customer journeys efficiently. This tool allows marketers to input their objectives and desired elements, such as welcome messages or tailored interactions based on customer data and behaviour. This feature promises bespoke, customised journeys rather than relying on generic templates, significantly saving time and optimising campaigns effectively. AI Journey Assist is expected to go live in the Fall of 2024.
2. Smart Ingest
Another exciting update is the Smart Ingest feature, designed to sync and map data from multiple data warehouses effortlessly. This functionality supports hourly updates without requiring engineering intervention, ensuring that your data is always current and actionable. Smart Ingest is already live and available for use today.
3. Smart Segmentation
Iterable has also enhanced its segmentation capabilities with Smart Segmentation. This update includes improved field filters and descriptions, making it easier for marketers to understand and use the correct filters for targeting. By filtering data more precisely, marketers can avoid over-messaging and make the most of valuable business data. Smart Segmentation will be live in Winter 2024.
4. Brand Affinity Insights
Brand Affinity Insights is a new reporting and dashboard feature that provides deep insights into brand sentiment, engagement, and affinity trends. This tool helps marketers understand how loyalty changes over time and identify which journeys negatively impact user experience, enabling quick corrective actions. It offers a detailed overview of user engagement and highlights which journeys are driving loyalty. This feature is set to go live in Fall 2024.
5. WhatsApp Channel Launch
With over 2 billion users worldwide, the launch of the WhatsApp channel is a significant addition to Iterable’s capabilities. This new feature allows marketers to build and orchestrate communications via WhatsApp, complete with performance insights and the ability to select different channels for various countries. Templates are natively interpreted into Iterable, eliminating the need to log into Meta. Marketers can personalise templates with relevant communications and set up customisable CTAs for two-way messaging with customers, including the use of images and GIFs. The WhatsApp channel launch is scheduled for Winter 2024.
Summary
As always, these Iterable events have been incredibly insightful, providing our agency with a comprehensive understanding of the powerful new features and updates on Iterable’s horizon, especially when it comes to AI (so long as they don’t create Skynet!).
For WeDoCRM, our agency is all about leveraging the latest tech and innovations, whilst striking a healthy balance with those tried and tested marketing best practices, so that we can continue to deliver even more personalised and effective marketing campaigns for our clients.
